Nik Ramage describes himself as a mechanical sculptor who makes useless machines and invents contraptions the world didn't know it needed. In September 2009 his Fingers machine, manufactured by Laikingland, made its London Design Festival debut. This was then followed by a Finger tapping world tour that included the Shanghai World Expo, Salone de Mobile in Milan, the Paul Smith store window in Copenhagen and several private collections.
For the 2010 London Design Festival, Ramage once again collaborated with Laikingland to paradoxically provide his impatiently tapping mechanical Fingers and his "Get on with it!" tag line to create Decision Time, their first almost useful iPhone App.
Bringing a smile to the world of decision making, Fingers is accompanied by a simple countdown clock and works incessantly to accompany and encourage your everyday decisions, no matter how big, small, important or mundane.
