Storm in a Tea Cup by John Lumbus

The Storm in a Tea Cup pays homage, in a very literal sense, to the famous idiom meaning a small event that has been exaggerated out of all proportion.

Turn the handle and the golden boat rides the mechanical waves, above the stormy clouds periodically reveal a shining bolt of lightning.

Working closely with the designer John Lumbus, only two variations of the Storm in a Tea Cup were produced. Royal Delft Blue and White and New English White and Gold were limited to only 12 copies in each design.
